ACTIVITIES

Pionýr offers a broad palette of activities.

In troops, it's mostly about regular meetings and troop tours/expeditions. We dedicate ourselves to tourism, camping, culture, sports, the environment, and technology. International activities are the less common ones, but they often bring unexpected opportunities. Pionýr also offers activities for non-members in the form of regular leisure-time clubs open to the public. The most exciting part of our activities is the summer - Pionýr organizes more than 300 summer camps every year.

What's typical for us?

Insistence on education - we not only use games to play but also to educate; openness - most of our activities including summer camps are open to the public; diversity - troops decide about their focus and the contents of the troop's activities; independence - we are in no way linked to political parties, churches, or political and religious ideologies; coeducation - Pionýr's activities are shared for boys and girls together.

Troop meetings

Boys and girls - friends for short - meet in dens once a week on troop meetings. During those meetings, pioneers can try new things, check their abilities, alertness, or knowledge during various games and activities. Short or long-term games with various stories assure that each meeting is different and enjoyable.

Clubs

Clubs are a different way to use free time for those who don't have the time or courage for regular meetings. Clubs offer a large variety of activities. It's on the boys and girls to what their interests are (sports, handcrafting, board games, etc.).

Weekend expeditions

Generally, troops set off for a tour or expedition once a month. Each one of those tours has a specific and interesting goal or objective, such as getting to know the beauty of our homeland, an adventurous game, or continuing the troop's activities that are too time-consuming for the regular meetings.

Camps

Summer camps are a part of our traditional activities. Many troops organize them even during shorter holidays (spring/autumn holidays, Easter). Who's in for it can enjoy being transported to the prehistoric age, gold-washing, or conquer the North pole - experience a real adventure for short.
